गिरफ्तार किए गए आरोपियों में शाहरुख, वसीम तथा शकील का नाम शामिल है जो बल्लभगढ़ की भगत सिंह कॉलोनी के रहने वाले हैं।
पूछताछ में सामने आया कि कुछ दिन पहले आरोपी वसीम की हलवाई की दुकान पर किसी के साथ लड़ाई हो गई थी जिसमें प्रदीप नामक व्यक्ति ने बीच बचाव करवाया जिसमें आरोपी वसीम की प्रदीप के साथ कहासुनी हो गई जिसकी वजह से वह आरोपी प्रदीप के साथ रंजिश रखने लगा।
आरोपी वसीम ने यह बात अपने भाई इस वारदात के मुख्य आरोपी शाहरुख को बताई। आरोपी शाहरुख ने तैश में आकर बदले की भावना से प्रदीप को सबक सिखाने की ठान ली।
आरोपियों को सूचना मिली कि प्रदीप रणजीत सिंह मार्केट में किसी मोबाइल की दुकान पर बैठा है। इसके पश्चात आरोपी शाहरुख अपने भाई वसीम और शकील के साथ रणजीत सिंह मार्केट में मोबाइल की दुकान पर आता है और अपनी जेब से पिस्टल निकालकर प्रदीप के उपर तान देता है।
इसे देखकर मौके पर काफी भीड़ इकट्ठी हो गई तो आरोपी ने पिस्तौल को छुपाने के उद्देश्य से उसे अपने पेंट की जेब में डाल लिया।
वहां पर मौजूद व्यक्तियों में से किसी एक ने पुलिस को सूचित कर दिया जिस पर तुरंत कार्रवाई करते हुए पुलिस चौकी चावला कॉलोनी की टीम मौके पर पहुंच गई।
आरोपी शाहरुख ने भागने के इरादे से अपनी जेब में हाथ डाला और पिस्टल निकालने की कोशिश की जिसमें पिस्टल निकालते समय उससे पिस्टल का ट्रिगर दब गया और गोली चल गई जो आरोपी के बाएं पैर के टखने के थोड़ी ऊपर पिंडली में जाकर लगी और आरोपी घायल हो गया।
पुलिस ने आरोपियों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई करते हुए उन्हें अवैध पिस्टल सहित गिरफ्तार कर लिया और उनके खिलाफ थाना शहर बल्लभगढ़ में हत्या की कोशिश तथा अवैध हथियार अधिनियम की धाराओं के तहत मुकदमा दर्ज किया गया।
आरोपियों के कब्जे से एक देसी पिस्टल, चार जिंदा कारतूस तथा एक खाली खोल बरामद किया गया है।
आरोपी शाहरुख को अस्पताल में पुलिस बल की निगरानी में भर्ती करा दिया गया है और उसके ठीक होने पर पिस्टल की जानकारी ली जाएगी।
पुलिस द्वारा अन्य दोनों आरोपियों आरोपियों को अदालत में पेश करके जेल भेज दिया गया है।
