डॉ अर्पित जैन डीसीपी मुख्यालय ने प्रेस वार्ता के दौरान खुलासा करते हुए बताया कि आरोपियों का वारदात करने का तरीका कुछ इस प्रकार था कि आरोपी अपने आप को मारुति/हुंडई कम्पनी का कर्मचारी बताकर लोगों को कॉल करते थे। उनकी गाड़ी की वारन्टी एक्सटेंड करवाने के नाम पर कम रकम का चैक मैजिक पैन से भरवाया जाता था। इसके पश्चात् पीड़ित के रजिस्टर्ड मोबाईल नम्बर की कॉल अपने नम्बर पर डाईवर्ट की जाती थी और आरोपी बैंक में जाकर उस चैक में रकम बदलकर बैंक में जमा करवा देते थे।
बैंक कर्मचारी द्वारा रजिस्टर्ड मोबाईल नम्बर पर वेरिफिकेशन कॉल की जाती थी जिसे आरोपियों द्वारा ही वेरीफाई किया जाता था। क्यूंकि चेक के असल मालिक की कॉल आरोपी अपने नंबर पर डाइवर्ट करवा लेते थे।
आरोपियों ने सैक्टर 15 के रहने वाले पीडित अशोक खन्ना को इसी तरह से झांसा देकर उससे 1100/- रुपये का चैक मैजिक पैन से भरवाकर उसके सैन्ट्रल बैंक आफॅ इंडिया के खाते से करीब 1,90,000/- रु. धोखाधडी से निकाल लिए।
पीड़ित अशोक ने इसकी शिकायत पुलिस स्टेशन साइबर अपराध, फरीदाबाद में की जिसपर दिनांक 16.01.2021 को पुलिस स्टेशन साइबर अपराध में IPC की धारा 406,419,420,467,468,471,120बी व 34 के तहत मुकदमा अंकित किया गया।
पुलिस आयुक्त ओ पी सिंह ने इस मामले का संज्ञान लेते हुए आरोपियो को जल्द पकडने के आदेश जारी किए थे।
मुकेश मल्होत्रा, पुलिस उपायुक्त अपराध, अनिल यादव-सहायक पुलिस आयुक्त, अपराध के दिशा-निर्देशों के तहत साइबर थाना प्रभारी निरीक्षक बसन्त कुमार की अगुवाई में एसआई नरेंद्र, एसआई राजेश, एचसी दिनेश और अन्य पुलिसकर्मियों सहित एक टीम का गठन किया गया था।
पुलिस टीम ने साइबर तकनीक का प्रयोग करते हुए 4 आरोपियों को दिल्ली के हर्ष विहार एरिया से गिरफतार करके पुलिस रिमांड पर लिया गया।
गिरफ्तार किए गए आरोपियों में पवन उर्फ़ गौरव, राहुल, बलबीर और अमित उर्फ़ मोना का नाम शामिल है।
पुलिस उपायुक्त मुख्यालय श्री अर्पित जैन ने जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि आरोपियों ने इसी तरह से एनसीआर एरिया में कई लोगों से एक करोड़ रुपए की धोखाधड़ी को अंजाम दिया हुआ है।
आरोपी जस्टडायल से लोगों के नंबर हासिल करते थे। आरोपी पवन और बलवीर लोगों को फसाने का काम करते थे और आरोपी राहुल और अमित चेक को कैश कराने का काम करते थे। आरोपी पवन और बलबीर दोनों दोस्त हैं।
आरोपियों के कब्जे से नकद 1,00,000/- रूपये व वादात में प्रायोग मोबाईल फोन, वोटर आई.डी. कार्ड, मैजिक पैन व एक पीठु बैग बरामद किया गया है।
पुलिस रिमांड के दौरान आरोपियों ने 2 अन्य वारदातों का खुलासा किया है।
आरोपियों के खिलाफ पहला मुकदमा दिनांक 29.10.2020 को मुकदमा न0 398 थाना सैक्टर 31 में धारा 406/419/420/467/468/ 471/120बी. व 34 IPC के तहत दर्ज है।
आरोपियों ने पीडित से 1050/- रुपये का चैक मैंजिक पैन से भरवाकर पंजाब नेशनल बैंक, सैक्टर 15, फरीदाबाद ब्राच में जाकर उस चैक में रकम बदलकर धोखाधडी से 3,40,000/- रुपये निकाल लिये।
इस मुकदमे में आरोपियों के कब्जे 2 लाख रुपए बरामद किए गए हैं।
दूसरा मुकदमा न0 339 दिनांक 31.12.2020 को धारा 406/419/420/467/468/ 471/120बी.
,34 IPC के तहत थाना सराय ख्वाजा, फरीदाबाद में दर्ज है जिसमे आरोपियों ने पीडित से 1150/- रुपये का चैंक मैंजिक पैन से भरवाकर पंजाब नेशनल बैंक, सैक्टर 37, फरीदाबाद ब्रांच में जाकर उस चैक में रकम बदलकर धोखाधडी से 1,00,500/- रुपये निकाल लिये।
इस मुकदमे में आरोपियों से 50 हजार रुपए बरामद किए गए हैं।
पुलिस ने आज आरोपियों को अदालत में पेश कर जेल भेज दिया है। दिल्ली पुलिस, गुरुग्राम पुलिस को आरोपियों की गिरफ्तारी के संबंध में सूचना दी गई है।
गिरफ्तार किए गए आरोपियों का विवरण इस प्रकार है:
1. आरोपी पवन उर्फ गौरव निवासी जहांगीरपुरी दिल्ली, जो फ़िलहाल गांव झाडसा नियर शिव मन्दिर गुरुग्राम में रह रहा था।
2. राहुल निवासी गांव जखेरा, जिला हापुड उ प्र. जो फ़िलहाल कैलाश कालोनी इस्ट ज्योति नगर दिल्ली में रह रहा था।
3. बलबीर उर्फ बल्लु उर्फ अंकित निवासी मजलिस पार्क दिल्ली
4. अमित सक्सेना उर्फ मोना निवासी हर्ष विहार दिल्ली
इसके अलावा भी आरोपियों ने एन.सी.आर. क्षेत्र से करीब 40 से अधिक वारदातों को अन्जाम देना कबूल किया है।
