फरीदाबाद, 19 नवंबर: उपायुक्त यशपाल ने कहा कि पिछले कुछ दिनों से कोरोना (कोविड-19) के मामले जिला में लगातार बढ़ रहे हैं। ऐसे में जिला प्रशासन ने इस बार सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर छठ पर्व के कार्यक्रम आयोजित न करने का निर्णय लिया है।
अपने आदेशों में उपायुक्त ने कहा कि छठ पर्व के दौरान सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर काफी संख्या में व्रत करने वाली महिलाएं, पुरुष व बच्चे इकट्ठा होते हैं। इससे कोरोना वायरस फैलने की संभावनाएं काफी ज्यादा बढ़ जाती हैं। ऐसे में लोगों के स्वास्थ्य व कोरोना वायरस के फैलाव को रोकने के लिए जिला प्रशासन ने इस बार सार्वजनिक स्थानों, तालाबों, नहरों व नदी के किनारों पर छठ पर्व कार्यक्रम आयोजित करने की अनुमति नहीं देने का निर्णय लिया है।
उपायुक्त ने लोगों से अपील करते हुए कहा कि आपदा के इस समय में हम सभी को सतर्कता से कार्य करना है। ऐसे में सभी लोग अपने घरों में ही छठ पर्व मनाएं और ज्यादा संख्या में इकट्ठा न हों।
